I’ve noticed that although my Plex DVR correctly records most of the time, sometimes my scheduled recordings don’t record, giving me an “Unknown Error” message. I’ve noticed this only with recordings of “The Big Bang Theory”, but I’m sure it could easily occur to other things as well. One of these errors occurred a few minutes ago, and I’m sick of this happening, so I’d like to fix it.
UPDATE: The recording schedule now says that there was a transcoder error. The episode also appeared in my library, and when I tried to play it, it gave me a message saying that connection to the PMS was lost, which is ridiculous, since the device I played it back on (an Nvidia SHIELD) is also my server. A library scan deleted the phantom episode.
