Hi, so I recently moved all my recordings to a new DVR Library (mapped to a different folder) instead of my TV one. I just had my first recording for a TV series and for some reason it’s not showing up in the DVR Library. I do see it in my Recently Added TV section that set to All Libraries under the Discover section, and if I click on the episode number it’s there. So there’s some conflict with my TV Library and the DVR one that’s causing it not to show up in the DVR Library. Basically I want the Plex recordings in a separate folder then my TV Library. Almost there! Any idea what’s going on and how I should solve it?
I want to keep both my normal TV Shows library and DVR one separate. So basically it looks like if a TV show exists in my TV Shows library, it won’t show up in the DVR directory (even though the recording is there). So there’s some conflict going on. What are you guys doing in this situation?
Since my original question never got a response, think I’m taking this now in a new direction for my DVR recordings.
My setup is like this: unRaid server with Plex as a docker. Installed a Windows 10 Virtual Machine (VM) with MCEBuddy installed and trying to get a handle of the best setup for that.
So right now I’m wondering where I should store the files. In the VM, do I map the network shares to where they are? Do I use some type of mover in the VM to see files on the share then move those to the local HDD for MCEBuddy to do it’s thing?
Now a MCEBuddy question. I have my Plex main files setup like this: Videos --> HD Movies, Movies (for SD ones), TV Shows in said folders. For the output, do I point MCEBuddy to the Videos folder or the TV Shows? What happens if I record a movie?
Anyone have this type of setup going? Thought from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
