Hi All
have recently changed some things on my setup and something is very off but I cannot figure out what. Much appreciated if someone from Plex can have a quick look at my logs and point me towards the right direction
Current setup:
-
Plex server running on a mac mini OS Ventura. Ported the installation from a previous system install using Mojave but that does not seem to have been a issue. User is set up from scratch to be a plex server.
-
Media files are stored on a synology nas, and linked back to the mac using a permanent mount with SMBFS;
-
synology and plex server are linked by ethernet cable to the router
-
router is running openwrt, assigning fixed ips to both server and synology. I’ve also updated the installation of openwrt to the latest 22.0.3. I’ve mostly re-setup the entire options i had before (forwarding ports, dns servers, ipv6 tunnel, etc).
what is different with the router is that it is now connected to the provider’s modem in bridge mode. So my router now runs the entire thing instead of being a 2nd router on a network.
Issues i’m seeing
- playing is unstable, with pauses, random stops, and/or just permamently crashing on the ROKU player;
- starting some media files on the ROKU player just never goes beyond the ‘classic 33%’.
3, on my ipad, things are marginally better but i keep getting random ‘play stops’, for a fraction of a second or a full second. Similar to a buffering stop but very quick. It does happen often though.
- the amount of crashes or stops seems to be slightly different for some files than for others, or sometimes just different times?! I honestly cannot figure out a pattern.
I’m happy to share a set of logs with the Plex team, with the debug option on. But since I do not know how much private data is there, would prefer to do it privately.
much appreciated for any assistance. Kind regards
