Last night I got an email from PLEX.TV saying someone had logged into my account from an IP address that was possibly somewhere in Russia. If it wasn’t me, I should change my password. It wasn’t me so I changed my password.
I wasn’t aware that PLEX sent emails like that. Do they? If so, thanks. It was about time to change that password anyway.
We have sent notifications whenever a new device gets signed into Plex with an account for a long while now. Most folks never sign out so they don’t usually get one until they get a new phone or similar.
Also recommend enabling 2 factor auth. Secure Your Account with Two-Factor Authentication | Plex Support (Don’t forget to copy recovery codes and save them incase you lose your phone or something)
