Add an “update libraries” feature within the various apps. This will stop going to the plex server or web app to update the libraries when new content is added. Auto update feature time might be too long and the addition will force the update.

You’ve tagged this suggestion as player-windows … that app has an option to scan the library files or refresh library metadata.
Edit: this was also recently added to the new experience mobile apps.
