Update music libraries remotely

When I try to access all libraries from Plex app, it doesn’t display music, so I can’t scan for updates. I don’t know if it’s possible to scan libraries from Plex amp. I usually update libraries from a web browser when connected to LAN. But would be nice to scan music remotely.

You should still be able to trigger library scans from your browser. Alternatively, take a look at the Plex Dash app.

Yes I can still use the browser against Plex media server on LAN. Not remotely or from want though.

I searched for Plex Dash and it is not available. Google plays says the app is for an older version of Android. I’m on Android version BP4A.251205.006

If your remote access setup is working ok, you should also be able to access your server using the hosted web app.

Plex dash should work on Android 6 or newer.

Hey! The host web app did work off network! I didn’t know that!!

I can’t argue on the behalf of Android or Google play but my phone is running android 16 and play won’t even show me Dash in the catalog, but it does tell me that my Android version is too new
