I would also love to know.
Anything that doesn't play on Rasplex seems to play fine on Kwikboo's release.
Rasplex overall is more stable and refined, Kwikboo's release is faster and handles everything I have thrown at it more so then Rasplex.
OE5+ is just so much faster and with better media support.
Same here :)
Me too
It will come when it's ready ;)
They wrote in the 0.5.1 Thread that it will come in the next weeks.
So I think we don't have to wait for long.
I'm looking forward to this because so much of my collection is 5.1 AAC which is not currently supported.
That being said, should be any time. This is based upon developer comments at https://github.com/RasPlex/RasPlex/issues/268which solves my problems and I'm sure a whole slew of other problems once released. :D
Looking forward to the new 0.6 release for multi-channel PCM output from FLAC.
Hi guys,
Any news on how the testing is going?
Thanks
There hasn't been much movement in the Github repository so i can only assume they are still testing. Hey @NedtheNerd, if you need some more testers to put the next release through it's pace, you know you have an army at your disposal ;)
“Patience you must have my young padawans”
This is killing me! I put my whole Rasplex project on hold waiting for this. 'Got two RPi2's here....
Why? There shouldn't be a real showstopper as far as i can tell. Everything works. AAC 5.1 does not put out 5.1 sound at the moment, but there is still stereo sound. No reason to put anything on hold imho. Or is there something i overlooked??
FF/RW sucks on the current one. Some streaming issues over WiFi which I hope are fixed (maybe OpenELEC will adjust cache settings or something else).
But primarily I need to take one over to my girlfriend's house and I'd rather not have to take it right back. I'll feel more confident in the auto-upgrade process once we start on OpenELEC 5.05.
I need 0.6.X so I can finally get multi-channel transcoding, and play multichannel FLAC streams (as PCM). Oh ... an get rid of the high bit rate AC3 stuttering issue.
I check the site everyday hopeing to see "0.6.X" is released. I will keep checking.

Hey dev, any update on the progress of 0.6? I can't take the wife complaining much longer about the lack rewind and fast forward (unlike me, she doesn't think that skip back and forward is sufficient) ;)
Give the devs a break folks, I am sure it will be ready when its ready :)

It doesn't work at all for me when streaming remotely. If I have to stop & restart the movie for any reason, it starts back up at the beginning. So now I'll leave a movie paused for hours, even overnight if necessary.
We're all waiting. Their issue tracker shows a lot of progress on Github with regards to major problems reported from the past release. It's worth waiting for the issues to be resolved and for the OE 5.x merge to be completed I'm sure!
all we want is an update from the dev's nothing more.
the no news is what's killing everyone. everyone knows how much better this will be with oe5.
We are all just curious where they are in there progress.
