Hello,
I just recently updated to DSM 7. I reinstalled PMS with the package offered and I’ve updated to v1.28. I am getting transcode errors due to permissions. See below. what plex users need permissions to this folder?

On DSM 7,
The username , which is a System Internal User (not a Local User), is PlexMediaServer
The errors writing in /volume1/Media require editing the Shared Folder permissions for Media.

This FAQ shows “Plex” (DSM 6). On DSM 7, we now use “PlexMediaServer”.
You will see “PlexMediaServer” in the dropdown list of available names.

To avoid confusion in the future , it is completely safe (and recommended) to delete user “Plex” in Control Panel - Users.

I believe I resolved the issue. I moved the transcode folder and files that didn’t play before are. If the problem persists, I would assume there’s a problem with my transcode engine and upload logs. Thank you.
