Updated to PMS 0.9.17.2 - Lost directors and cast

Good morning,
Not sure where to put this, but after updating to 0.9.17.2 this morning and when viewing via Roku 3, all movie files have no information for the director and in the cast every file lists “, , ,” and when viewing via Plex app on an Android the cast is listed as “, ,”

I have rescanned the library to no avail.

Hello,

It happened to me as well.
You have to refresh the movie library so that it re-downloads the metadata and it’ll all be good afterward.

However if you changed some info yourself, you better make sure those info have been locked otherwise, it’ll revert back to the info that it downloads.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Mawuena

Heya,
So actually I went through and refreshed all libraries and the only change was that the cast is now blank instead if “, , ,”

I will run it a second and maybe third time to see if persistence pays off there.

It was reported here too - https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/221149/cast-director-information-in-v0-9-17-2. The fix was to make sure the “Open Movie Database” was not on top of Freebase. The alternate fix if you want OMDB on top of freebase is to disable actors directors and writers inside of the OMDB agent. You’ll probably need to force another refresh afterwards, but it’s best to make the changes described and refresh a single movie to verify before refreshing all.

Thank you kindly, moving OMD corrected the issues.

I’m having the same issue but I don’t even have the “Open Movie Database” in my agents list at all. Any ideas?

Nevermind, It looks like by refreshing my entire library it’s slowly fixing the issue. Was hoping to avoid this
