I updated my serversPR4100s to OS5 too and have the same issue. And the real problem is that you can’t back out the update. No matter how (web, app, etc) I attempt to access my servers via PLEX I get the same issue. I am able to navigate via windows to the servers without issue.
Might check this thread:
^^ Yup. You need the new install package specific to OS5. Start reading at post 43. Compatibility with MyCloud OS 5
The new OS5 packages are now on https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/ under Western Digital in the platform list. If you still have a device running My Cloud OS 3 then please use the Western Digital (OS3) platform in the downloads list.
I have just updated to OS5 and reinstalled Plex from the Downloads page (_OS5).
When i try to access from my old bookmark http://192.168.1.11:32400/web) --> This site can’t be reached, 192.168.1.11 refused to connect.
When i try to access from OS5, Configure button --> Not Found. The requested URL was not found on this server.
I have updated my pr4100 to OS5 and I have updated plex to OS5. I keep getting sever refused connection.
Did you get your problem fix because I have the same problem
no still the same
I am having a similar problem with my MyCloud (Single Bay) running OS 5. I’ve downloaded and successfully installed the _OS5.bin file (version 1.22.1.4200) using the “Install an app manually” function in the MyCloud web interface. When I click on the “Configure” button, a new browser tab opens, trying to reach the Plex server at [local address]:32400/web. But the browser returns an error saying the connection was refused.
I used SSH to log in to my NAS and navigated to /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plexmediaserver and tried to running the startup script manually by executing “sh start.sh”. I received the following error:
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plexmediaserver/binaries/Plex Media Server: error while loading shared libraries: libicudataplex.so.67: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This library file does in fact exist at /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plexmediaserver/binaries/lib, but for some reason, the Plex server application is not finding it, and this is preventing the server from launching.
I’ve tried uninstalling the app through the MyCloud web interface, deleting leftover plex directories, and reinstalling; but I keep getting the same error. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I had Plex running previously under OS 3, but that required several manual workarounds since Plex was not officially supported on the MyCloud Single Bay. I am excited that this older NAS is now officially supported by Plex under OS 5; that will make it significantly easier to install updates.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi @larkito27 We have found an issue with ARMv7 builds. Can you uninstall and install this slightly older release as a stopgap? https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.21.0.3711-b509cc236/wd/PlexMediaServer-1.21.0.3711-b509cc236-WDMyCloud_OS5.bin
Thanks @chrisallen. I found on another thread that someone with the same problem downgraded to version 1.22.0.4163 and that fixed the problem. I installed version 1.22.0.4163 and am now up and running again.
