Server Version#:DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 2
Player Version#: 1.13.4.5271-200287a06
I keep getting the message “A Plex Media Server update is available for the server dbnMedia! 1.14.0.5470
Download now Skip this version”. But in DSM there are no available updates.
Thank you for the SUPER fast response. That makes sense, although sucks. They should be updating Plex in Package Centre as Plex releases the latest updates. I’ll send them a recommendation.
Hi I have a similar issue but when I download the latest Synology version of the Plex media server from the Plex downloads site it wont work. I upload the file PlexMediaServer-1.14.1.5488-cc260c476-x86_64.spk file using manual install on Synology package centre and it says its not compatible.
I have a DS216play running DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4.
Any idea what I need to do to install Plex now?
Also I just tried installing via the package centre download and it gave the following error:
Port 32400 configured for this package is either used by another service or reserved for system use. Please disable or modify the conflicting service, or contact the developer to modify the package configuration.
I have the same issue. I downloaded the latest Plex from the plex app on the web.
I restarted the NAS first. I also do have a plex certificate installed on the nas.
I have a Synology DS216Play running DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 6 and when I try a manual install with the file:
PlexMediaServer-1.15.1.791-8bec0f76c-armv7hf.spk
it gives an alert that says:
“this package is not supported on the platform of Diskstation or Incompatible with the current DSM version”
@trumpy81 I am using Synology 2016j and I am trying to install latest plex server. I am getting an incompatibility error. Restart did not help. Does that mean I simply can not update my Synology with latest plex servers?
I am having the issue when trying to manually install the 1.15 version i get package is published by an unknown publisher but no longer gives me the option of hitting the install anyway “yes” button.
