Updating problem iwi Server on Synology

Player Version#:roku, appletv, iOS
Running Plex server on Synology for years. In the last year, trying to play live tv from any platform stops working and throws error messages, different for each platform but essentially cannot play live TV, ALWAYS happens on a Friday evening apparently after an update is pushed.

The problem is if there is an update, Live TV connections fails and I then go to Plex on the Synology and see a notice of an update.

Something must be off because this seems a bit absurd:

  • can’t get the app to automatically update similar to other apps on Synology
  • the functionality breaks just by the receiving notice of an update and I am required to update the app

Am I missing some setting?
