My Synology DS1515+ says Plex is up to date but apps say it's not!

We loaded Plex on our iPads, Tablets and mobiles yesterday and the app told us “Server is outdated”. I’ve updated the server using the auto update feature on the Synology system but that has only gone to 1.40.4.8840-70008840. The mobile apps say the server needs to be 1.41.2 or we can’t connect to the server. The TV and Amazon Firesticks are presently working but I@m more concerned that we can’t update the plex version as looking on their download site the latest version is v.1.41.6.9685-d301f511a.

There are 5 versions for the Synology DMS 7 (we’re on DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 8). of which only 1 says it will work but gives us a warning that it’s not been signed by Synology.

Should we still go ahead and update it manually?

Synology is EXTREMELY slow to accept and update our app in Package Center.

It’s best to go to https://plex.tv/downloads download for your machine (64 bit intel) - DSM 7 (not DSM 72) and then perform a “Manual Install” in Package Center.

i have the same issue.Ive tried to manualy update synology dsm but it tells me its already up to date, so i then cant update plex either. Any solutions welcome.

Do you also have a DS1815+ ?

If so, which DSM version are you using and which PMS version is installed ?
