Yesterday I was prompted to install an update to the Plex Media Player I have running on my Windows 10 1709 desktop. I have this machine connected to a projector. The upgrade was successful to 2.4.1 but the interface looks so odd/strange now.
This is how it looked BEFORE the upgrade:
This is how it looks now AFTER the upgrade:
So my simple question is:
How do I get the interface to look like I had it BEFORE the upgrade? I find the interface after the upgrade bizarre and confusing to use…
The Plex Media Server is running 1.10.1.4602 on Windows 10 1709.
I have 27 Various Libraries. <— yea, take that nightmare for a test spin.
As expected, the new ‘Improved’ PMP is unusable by mere mortals (read: users). The ONLY work-around remains using your Android Plex Mobile App as either the ‘Remote’ (not recommended) or in a ‘Cast To’ configuration - which basically ‘Mirrors’ the actions of the Mobile App (recommended).
May The Maker have mercy on your soul if you make the mistake of going full screen and not coming out of full screen before exit. You will be in for at least an hour of ‘gimmie-you-money-we-make-you-crazy’ while you hammer on various keyboard commands trying to return some control to you, the user. If you do make this mistake once - it’s unlikely you will ever make it again.
Users are, once again, left in the lurch regarding Plex Development. Plex has, of course, created a fantastic thing they are in love with - and users will suffer. Plex is extremely proud of their work - users are in shock - in need of medication.
