I recently installed an update for Plex Media Player. After the update the player effectively replicates the web interface rather than the previous UI which was great for end users. It feels like a significant step backwards and is not as friendly when it comes to trying to make my remote work with it.
Is there a setting that allows me to get back to a polished UI or is this as good as it gets now with PMP?
In the header there is a button that allows you to toggle between the TV interface and the Desktop interface
The additional of the Web UI is for those that like that interface, but then you get the playback power of PMP. You don’t get codec restrictions you would normally with the regular Web app. (i.e. you can Direct Play H265)

Guys, my menu use to show the TV icon icon but now it doesn’t and I cant switch back in forth. Its stuck on Desktop UI.
Any tips? Thanks in advance.
