I recently “found again” Plex and I’m now building a great library. Among other things I’m testing, I’ve shared my library with a coworker. This brought up an idea for this question/feature request.
While I like to use english audio and most of the time english subtitles, I’ve never really needed anything more.
My friend and his wife would rather use subs in our native language. I have the opensubtitles plugin in use but nothing is perfect, it doesn’t find everything and I do sometimes have find subs manually elsewhere.
I was originally thinking that it would be great if guest users could upload subtitles for themselves but apparently I cannot do it either from browser. I can locally drop subtitle files into correct folders but it would be even better if there was an option to upload them from the browser client for both user types.
So: Upload subtitles dialog for all users, delete only for admin user. Similar to banner and background pictures.
I hope I’m making sense. At least my searches did not find anything related to this.
