USB DVR device isn’t automatically detected

Hi. I have Plex media Server running on a Synology DS1515+ with a USB connected Hauppauge Dual TV tuner dongle. This tuner is in both the Synology and Plex supported devices lists.

The Synology Info Center shows the tuner as a connected external device, however Plex cannot detect the device and only permits manual network addresses to be added - not USB connections.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
