Strange issue. I often try to invite my friends to partake in my Plex Server (I have a Synology NAS and run Plex as an app there. I have not switched over to a Docker image). I used to run a Plex server on an Ubuntu Desktop but then bought the NAS and moved things there. This caused me to have to re-invite some friends who very occasionally used my Plex server while on my Ubuntu Desktop. They had difficulties re-connecting the invite and getting set up on the new Synology NAS Plex server. I’ve been working hard trying to get them set up and finally I have. However, in the interim, I had removed their users from my Plex server thinking I’d never get them set up again (it’s hard working with non-tech people sometimes…). I eventually resend invites several times attempting to work out their problems. Finally, it worked and they are able to stream from my server.
I also run Tautulli. The problem is that when they are streaming from my Plex server I do not see that they are. I managed to figure out that I needed to undelete the user from Tautulli and now they are showing up there. But on the Plex server itself, I do not see the normal user streaming things in the Dashboard.
I watched the Tautulli activity until they finished watching episode 1 of a TV series and going to the Plex server’s dashboard I see their user registered that they had watched episode 1 - but not until they finished the episode. Watching Tautulli again I see them starting episode 2, but in the Plex dashboard, I do not see any activity.
This makes me think I might need to do some sort of undelete user in the Plex server itself. What do I have to do to get this user to show up as active in the Dashboard like all my other users already do?
