I added a user manually via the managed uses section of my plex admin page. Since I manually added them, I for the life of me can not locate the user that I added.
I can confirm the user has full access to the libraries and such that I shared with her, but I need to manage the user to add new libraries when I add them for everyone else.
I also checked, I do not see this user in my friends list either.
How can I locate this user in the managed users so I can mange this user, when they do not show up in this list?
All managed users are added “manually”. There is no other way to do this.
There are only 2 managed users in your Plex Home. None of them has been created recently.
Verify which user account is currently being used by the person in question.
I know users are added manually. I am saying this manual add for some reason is different. I have checked both Plex Home and Managed Users, this user is not listed in either spot.
The user is my grandma, I added to her to my server and she is waiting just fine. But her account does not show up. I can’t even delete her to re-add her if something did not add her correctly.
How are you logging in her account, if that account doesn’t exist?
What exactly does it mean to you when you say that?
Is the local network of the server and the home network of your granny connected by a transparent tunnel/VPN, or are they even one and the same network?
In your server settings, did you put something into
Settings - Server - ‘Show Advanced’ - Network - “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”
?
Do you happen to have 2 separate plex.tv accounts?
Because there is another regular plex account in your plex home, which itself has also servers. If that is also you, maybe you logged her in under that other account, before you invited it into its current Plex Home.
Because if you invite a regular Plex user with an own Plex Home into another Plex Home, the managed users of the invited user are lost.
