Hello,

I am trying to add a user to my Plex Home but keep getting the “User not specified” error. I have added them as a friend but would like to include them in my home. I noticed someone on the FreeBSD forum is also getting this error…but wondering if it is more pervasive. I am running Ubuntu.

I see the same thing.

Firebug captures a ‘400 Bad Request’ error as soon as I click ‘Add.’

PMS 1.2.2.2857 running on Linux Mint 17.1.

Same issue here - 1.2.3.2914 on Windows 10.

Same error “user must be specified” for me while attempting to add a Home User. Running the latest PLEX plugin 1.1.4.2757 on a FreeNAS server. I’ve attempted to add my son whose an existing PLEX user via email address and user-id with full access, with limited shares and with/without restrictions only to get the same error message. Additionally I’ve tried with him logged in and logged out, both locally and online. I’ve also attempted to add a new user with the same results.

Update: So the above was attempted earlier yesterday and again last night. I failed to mention that I had restarted the PLEX service after my afternoon attempt which had no affect.

Just now after posting this I gave it another attempt and lo-and-behold it went though successfully adding his existing account. Nothing has changed … Go figure. :-/

Seems to be working now as Adrenolin pointed out…nothing changed…just magically working now.

I see the Plex Web version has moved to 2.10.7. That’s probably why.
