Looking at your account they have not accepted being iin your home.
They have accepted being your “friend” which is a different thing. They should show up here as a friend. https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/u/replacewithyourusername/friends
I am having this exact same issue and it is occuring for my regular users also but the most messed up is the Home user accounts.
I had an issue with a corrupt database, made a completely new server, but it seems like all my previous users were STUCK in limbo or attached to my account somehow, some can get normal access after i add and remove them about 5 or 6 times, others cannot get access at all yet their accounts say “user is already part of your home” even after forcing the account off my server, removing access, removing friend, trying to re-add does nothing.
is there a way to reset my server admin account to unlock or free all these other accounts?
The user does show up when I go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/u/replacewithyourusername/friends.
However, I am looking to add this user to Plex home, so that they show up as an option to pick from accessing Plex. They currently do not show up under Plex home. I want, that when accessing plex from my TV, I would see my main account + the new account to pick from. I do NOT want this to be a managed account, as managed accounts do not get access to shared libraries. This account is for my child and I want to limit content that they see. Managed accounts do not see shared libraries, so this new account would also be granted access to the shared library.
However, the user cannot be added to Plex home and I don’t know why.
I am having this exact issue and error message. The Plex user has access to my libraries, and is my friend, but doesnt show up under my Plex Home list, and if I try to add them again clicking the little +house icon I get the same error “user is already part of your home”.
Where specifically does the user need to go to accept a home invitation?
Confirmed…the only way to accept the invite is via the email that is sent out that specifically says it is an invite to Plex Home. The invitation does not appear in their plex app anywhere. only the email works. Still not sure how to resend an invite if they accidentally delete the email. In this case it was still in their trash
I just looked at your screenshot again and missed the fact that the pending invite did not show up on the Plex Home page where you would have been able to see the invites state and cancel it.
So there is some issue and I know there are some other recent topics with similar issues that other folks brought up this weekend.
Hello, I have posted the same bug here which includes a link to reddit with even more people reporting this bug. When can we expect this to be investigated and resolved?
Great, thank you BigWheel. Given the number of bug reports in a small period I think the bug is very disruptive to a number of users (including myself). I appreciate your team looking into it.
If you don’t have other people in your Plex Home yet. you can basically reset the Home by using the X that appears on the on the far right side when hovering over your row. will will make you “leave the home”
Be aware this will basically will reset the Home and all regular accounts in it will be removed and any Managed accounts made will be destroyed.
@KalOrtPor you seem to not have anyone else in your home yet so this may work for you so you can send another invite,
Unfortunately not…it (the process) appeared to work, but upon actually trying to use it her account is stuck in the friend zone. I don’t see her in my Home, and now when I try to add her again I get the “account already a member of home” message.
I’ll note that I tried removing all relationships and access on both accounts and re-initiating the process and no dice. Same outcome occurred. Her account ended up as Friend with no Home access.
Update on my end. When I look at my Friends list > Requests. I see a pending request that that has a “Go to Plex Home” button. When I click that button it takes me to my home and shows that that user has a status of “Waiting their response”.
I did not see that before.
This should be fixed. you should see as the Home Admin the “Awaiting their response” row at https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/plex-home If you want to revoke the invite there should be an X on the far right of row when hovering on it.
The account that you invited should see a similar row with your account username with a checkmark or X to accept or decline invite
