Logged into my plex account today and notice that my user id has changed slightly from what it previously was set to. I attempted to change it back to the original ID and got the error “Username has already been taken”.

And All accounts are having a unique username set

I got one of these notices by email, but I already had a username. And when I logged in to look, the old name, not the new name, is what’s shown on my account. Weird…

Double-check the exact e-mail address to which this notice was sent. There’s been more than one occurrences where users had created multiple Plex accounts over time and forgotten about those old ones (which now also got a unique username).

Definitely the same email. Not sure if you can have two accounts tied to the same email?
