Users & Sharing locked/corrupted

I have a Lifetime Plex Pass and since yesterday the Users&Sharing menu gives an error “An error occurred retrieving home users. Please try again.An error occurred retrieving friends. Please try again.”. I reinstalled the server from scratch, no improvement. Tried both from the local interface, windows app, and plex.tv, same thing.

If I try to “invite myself” from anewly created free account, I can’t accept the invite.

Please help, I am stuck.

Yes it does work OK now, thanks. Did I do anything wrong? I tried to share a library with a friend and everything crashed.

Same thing is happening to me now. Tried using the local webapp, it also is displaying the same error.

@OttoKerner It works, but the status for several of my users is incorrect. Am I okay to send invitations again to correct the status?

What do you mean by ‘status’?

The status for the last 2 users I added via Share Your Library show as ‘invite pending’, although they’ve both accepted the invite and are actively using the system.

Is this okay? If so, I’ll leave it alone. My OCD will be screaming at me, but that’s okay.

I’ve removed the two open shares. Reload the web app https://app.plex.tv and verify you have all users you want. If not, try re-inviting them.

I’m actually having this same issue now. Tried sending an invite to someone three or four times and after that I start getting the “An error occurred retrieving friends. Please try again.” error.

You have reached the maximum number of allowed shares.
