I have using a ReadyNAS 516 for a Plex Media Server with 16GB RAM. I have a added 2
HDHomeRun CONNECT to my network to be able to watch live TV and DVR. Right now I have configured my DVR Recording to buffer each recording with 2 minutes before and after the schedule time. This causes a lot of overlapping of recording time. I notice that Plex doesn’t seem to be able to handle more than 1 TV Tuner device on each server right now. I noticed that only my primary TV Tuner device is completely in used then Plex errors out. Has anyone run into this issue or something similar?
You should search the forums for this. Lots of threads about not using the second set of tuners and downgrading to PMS 1.6.1 to fix temporarily.
I have 2 hdHomerunPrime boxes with 3 tuners each and recording is working fine when all tuners on unit1 are taken it will use unit 2’s tuners . I am running 1.6.1 due to issues with 1.7 release(s) seem to still have issues and recordings don’t record, some don’t stop recording and general crap recordings with 1.7.x But 1.6.1 works flawless but doesn’t have new live option
