I was on the website for The Movie Database recently and saw that they now house information on TV shows and claim to have more series than The TVDb does according to the stats page there. How difficult would it be to include this new source for TV show info as a source?

Your Plex Media Server should have downloaded the update automatically. If it does not appear you may need to restart PMS.

No, they still need to be separated because of folder structure and naming differences.
