Things were really going well the past few weeks an now several days of missed shows. Stupidly I thought maybe something else must be on that had these shows on some brief hiatus for the week… until I looked tonight after someone asked if I watched the new episode of Walking Dead last night.
I am really starting to go nuts with the bugs in Plex specifically with DVR feature. I admit I bought the lifetime because of DVR when it was beta so I was ready for issues then but as far as I know it’s not in some sort beta still on this feature right? I am totally going sour with this feature.
I hate to ask here but seems users will know, Can someone recommend a DVR/PVR application my HDHR Prime and Quatro’s will work with? Preferably something free if such a thing exists, I already wasted money on lifetime as stated and a TON of my personal time on Plex. I need to, at the very least, record the shows outside of Plex with something I can trust.
ok, so refreshing the EPG manually didn’t fix it. Stopped the Plex server app, restarted it, still nothing. Started to do another EPG refresh (which takes forever) but opted to stop it at about 5%, then closed the Plex server app, and instead opened version 1.6.1. Started a manual EPG refresh in that version and when it completed my schedule is back to normal. Maybe that second refresh in the version I noted in my first post would have worked since I stopped and started Plex? Who knows? I tell you what though, I don’t care. I get it that hardware and software can be finicky from time to time but with Plex it seems you get mere hours or a couple a good weeks and then some issue crops up. Hard to enjoy Plex anymore when you have to babysit the server side app constantly. 
Lost another show tonight that was scheduled then suddenly disappeared.
Apparently this may just be another MAJOR bug happening for whatever reason and numerous reports are coming through via this thread

Done with trying to use Plex as a DVR. It’s one of those “when it works, it is amazing!” type features of this application, but when it does not… well you are here too so you know the rest. Maybe try it again someday but I need something I can count on and not just for small stretches until the next bug breaks it again.
I switched to NextPVR which really wasn’t a bad move at all and has some really great features for users that have multiple tuners and especially ones of different types mixed together(ie. Cable and OTA). The Plex team could learn some things from the NextPVR folks in this category.
