In the plex docker console logs I’ve been seeing various errors but until now I’ve been unable to figure out which files were causing them or how to reproduce the errors, until now. Here are the docker console errors I have been able to reproduce:
-decoder information: 102
-decoder error: 116
-TrueHD processing failed with 116
I have tracked them in the plex media server logs to these errors:
-Jul 23, 2021 16:15:46.739 [0x1494e0170b38] ERROR - [Transcoder] [truehd_eae @ 0x153a340cb240] error reading output
-Jul 23, 2021 16:15:46.740 [0x1494d76c3b38] ERROR - [Transcoder] Error while decoding stream #0:1: Unknown error occurred
Steps to reproduce:
Play the file in question in the plex web app where the TrueHD audio track will be transcoded to AAC Stereo
If i direct play the file with no transcoding the error does not happen. I’ve also watched the file all the way through in the plex web app while producing the error but the audio is clear and works the whole way through.
Steps taken to remedy to no avail:
-chmod codecs folder to 777, change transcode folder from tmp (unraid ram disk) to the cache drive.
-deleted codecs folder
-replaced the file from usenet with a similar (due to the nature of usenet it’s possible to be the same underlying file just repackaged from a different release group)
I would appreciate any help in tracking this down! Is it just some kind of error with the truehd audio track or a bad file?
