Verify email and Password reset email never arrive

I do not receive emails. Waited now up to 24 hrs and did not receive anything.
Password reset email was not received.
Email verification email was not received.

I’m not sure what is wrong here. My Email works, I’m getting other emails. Just not from Plex.

As there is not other way to contact support. Please help! - Thanks.

Same here - I’ve checked spam filters and spam folders and not their either. I’ve attempted password reset link probably 20 times and it’s never come through…

P.S. - I’m a Plex Pass member and this is a different account I’m using since my normal one is jacked up right now with this data breach thing.

Exactly the same here. They sent out the data breach notice, so trying to reset password. Reset password never works because email verification email never arrives. I’ve checked for spam, filters, etc, and there’s nothing.

And as OP said, no other way to contact support.

I’ve been waiting since yesterday (Wed 8/24). Tried a few times.

I tried to reset it directly instead of the linked version of how to do it. It returned an error and now neither the old or new password work. I’m now locked out of my account and had to create this bogus account to try and find an answer.

I’m also not receiving emails from Plex… I never received the data breach notice either, I’ve just seen screenshots going around the internet. Really frustrating to be unable to reset my password right now :upside_down_face:

@Trooper7 Thanks for posting that. It’s borderline silly that this is how they’re handling security requests (through a public forum). Not sure I’ve ever seen a company so anti-direct support via a traditional email/ticketing system.

How to solve a problem?

I changed my password in Plex and I got email in Yahoo that it happened. However, I seemed to have made a mistake in the process and my new password does not work. Then I requested an email to reset my password again, but I never got that email. It is not in my inbox or my spam folder.

It is clear that this is not a problem with Yahoo mail. This is a problem with Plex “forgot my password” process. I received the email sent to Yahoo in the first case but I did not get it for the second case.

Update: Since I was still signed in on Plex for Mac, I went in and resubscribed to the newsletter from the account settings page last night.

Early this morning I finally received the email notifying me of the breach, and all the password resets I requested also came through. Possibly a timing coincidence, but thought I’d mention it if it helps anyone else ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I got an email around 5 am that I did not notice until it was too late. The link had expired. I will try again. However, I think this is not a yahoo mail problem. I get other email from Yahoo. This is a Plex software problem. Plex needs to fix this. Just to let you know, I am using a different account, a temporary account, set up to use gmail. I cannot get into the account I used to use. I need to get an email via Yahoo so I can reset my password and I am not getting it in a timely manner. That coupled with the fact there was a security breach, I am really not happy about this.
