Version 1.22.1.4228-Plex not available after update

I’m almost afraid to update every time it pops up asking me to install the latest version. It seems every time it’s a roll of the dice if the update is going to break the server.

I just installed 1.22.1.4228. I tried accessing plex and it said 404. I restarted the server and now it loads but it says “Server is currently unavailable”. I’ve tried signing out, exiting the app, launching, signing back in, it wants me to claim that stupid random server16-template, tried claiming that but my server still doesn’t work.

In the past I’ve deleted the HKLM plex key to have it rebuild and that’ll sometimes do it. Running Server 2016. Any ideas to make these updates less painful would be appreciated and suggestions on how to fix the current situation without rebuilding my library.

There is a database migration happening the first time the PMS is started on this version. Depending on how many items are in your library it may take several minutes or more.

It’s too bad it doesn’t have any way of indicating that. I see a lot of users roll back to previous versions but I usually hold off on doing that. That’s good to know it’s most likely migrating the db. Thank you for the quick reply. I’m installing the latest updates from sconfig so once that’s done I’ll see if the DB finished migrating and report back. Again thanks for that link.

So the CPU is back to idle now so I’m assuming it’s done migrating, however now it says unable to connect to server securely. Any tips?

Anyone have any tips on how to fix this or is there a way to get in touch with support?
