User reported on Reddit that he couldn’t play on his Pixel 6 via Wi-Fi, but would play over cellular data. I tested on my Synology DS423+ that was running 1.40.4.8679. This worked fine for me, however Plex said an update was available for my NAS, so I updated to 1.40.5.8897. This made me encounter the same problem, i.e. my Pixel 7 couldn’t play over Wi-Fi, but would play fine over cellular. Anyone else seeing this?
It does seem if I try enough times it will eventually play. Other times I get " Failed to stream media, client probably disconnected after 6160384 bytes: 10054 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"
It’s strange, after looking for the prior version to download (not really clear how to find it BTW), I tried yet again after about 30 minutes and both worked once again. Perhaps some sort of caching? Since it is now “resolved” for me, I won’t downgrade, I’m just wondering if this is a common issue. It seemed unusual that I was able to replicate his issue, but it just went away. FYI, when trying to play, the server showed no activity (not surprising since it said the client canceled the playback).
