Hi, I don’t know if anyone is experiencing the same problem.
My PMS is on a linux mint machine.
My video files are in mp4 format and subtitles are external subs. Using .srt
Since version 9 rolled out for android devices, other languages does not display during playback, even though i have chosen the right language. It keeps displaying the english subtitle. I have tried this on other devices like samsung tv, LG tv, IOS devices, PC, web… and they seem unaffected by it. Only android devices registered this problem.
I have also tried placing my external subs and the video in mkv container. And suprisingly that works. But this is not an option for me as I have to manually place thousands of files into individual mkv container.
I have tried downgrading to version 8 and the problem is gone.
So, this should be an android version 9 problem
Please look into this.
