Today I decided to try a 1 moth pass of plex pass before I commit to it. So I read that I could add a managed user to Plex home and and that user could access movies under my servers plex pass. From what I read 15 users could do that. However I just tried to allow my wife to acces it as a managed user from her android phone and she cannot - it says she needs to subscribe? I’ve read so much about this crap that all I want to really know is why doesn’t it allow the managed user to access movies from my plex server using plex pass ?
sharing media has nothing to do with Managed users.

Having a managed user gives them the same plexpass benefits as your main account. Server sharing is not a plexpass benefit, it is free and available to everyone.
You need to login to the app with your account and then switch to her managed user account.
Also, you will probably want to make sure when you log in to your account, you go to settings and turn on automatically sign in so that once you switch to her account she won’t have to login to it each time.
Just realize, if she gets signed out of the app completely for whatever reason, you’ll need to sign back in with your full Plex account in order to get back to her account on the app.
And you do need to share the libraries with her that you want her to have access to, she won’t just get them by default.

What app are you using though? There’s a bug in the UWP app in windows where it shows your sub accounts as not having plex pass.
