The “Plex Media Server.exe” process is using the 16 core, leaving no ressouces for the transcoding, I never saw this behavious. I can send the logs in PM.
Have you checked what your server is doing? – are you e.g. scanning your music library for the sonic features? This will eat a lot of CPU depending on your library size and server configuration.
Yes, I do not have Music or Picture library on this Server, only movies and shows.
The CPU % utilization of the “Plex Media Server.exe” slowly raised until it took 100% of all 16 cores. then plex became irresponsive.
I then closed and restarted plex, the CPU raised to 100% in a few min and became irresponsive again 10 min latter.
Never appended in the 1.23 branch.
Edit: I had 5-6 transcoding goind one at the moment, but those prosesses didn’t have the CPU power left to work. usually they are the one consuming the more CPU.
