Video content only show half of it in plex

Hi

I have some problem here. which is i have lets say 2 folder.
the filename in folder A is in
chinesename1.mp4
chinesename2.mp4
chinesename3.mp4
chinesename4.mp4
chinesename5.mp4
all file are shown in plex

the filename in folder B is in
chinesename1.mp4
chinesename2.mp4
chinesename3.mp4
chinesename4.mp4
chinesename5.mp4
only chinesename3.mp4 is shown. the rest of the file is not shown.

I need some help in setting this correct. If someone can help? Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forums. Since you are using Chinese names, are you using the home video library and not trying to match the names with an agent?

The only way to know for sure is to look at the “Plex Media Scanner.log” and the “com.plexapp.agents.none.log” files after doing the Plex dance (see my signature) with your files in folder B.

how can i get the plex media scanner.log for you to see? i see your plex dance but i still not quite clear in what should i do. this is the first time i am setting this :slight_smile:

Sorry, that is the wrong log. I need the Plex Media Server.log.

Sorry about that. The scanner log you originally provided is the one I needed. Looking through it I don’t see any issues, although I’m not sure what to look for.

Can you get me a screen shot of something showing me what files are missing?

Ok, I think I know what is going on. You have the term “2013” is the filename. Because you are using the Plex Series Scanner, PMS is treating this as Season 20 Episode 13. The number your have for the episode is them being considered part 1, part 2, etc. If you check the xml for that 1 episode listed, I will bet it will list all the episodes in there. Unfortunately, when organizing TV Shows you really need to follow the naming guidelines for the best results, https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/categories/200028098-Media-Preparation.

Your other shows are probably doing something similar.
