Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171
Player Version#: 4.12.3
Just started today, have updated the server-side in an attempt to mitigate, and restarted both systems (the server and the client that’s running the web app).
Basically with any video it’ll start playing and go for just about 30 seconds then stop and start buffering. Meanwhile the dashboard shows a crazy high amount of bandwidth during that time, like 450mbps or so. Nothing transcoding, and the source could be a 2mbps file or 10mbps file, doesn’t matter. After killing the file and restarting a few times the web player won’t even load. Close the browser and reload and still nothing.
Works fine with my mobile devices, they stream the same file and the bandwidth shows a reasonable amount more in line with the source. The network is gigabit and it’s running on ethernet from the server to this specific client, some testing done on 5ghz WiFi which seemed fine.
Tried looking for similar issues and couldn’t really find anything, and I did pull logs from the web player and went through but it’s hard to make sense given the volume of stuff in there.
Any ideas, or where should I look for further logs/information?
Edit:
Interestingly the desktop app works, and when starting one of the same files it spikes really high but immediately it drops off and levels off.
So the issue is specific to the web based app, not the network or devices themselves.
