This is something that has bugged me for some time. I use to run Plex server on a windows machine but now have a dedicated Terramaster NAS and still find this same issue.
I force transcode all videos as I have issues sometimes with playback freezing and numerous other problems if I let it play the original video so all video is set to transcode to 1080 8mbps. The issue will occur on any device I view from, Android TV, Web UI and Apple TV on local WIFI or LAN
The issue is video is played just fine without any stutters up until the last 10 minutes of the video, does not matter the length but once it has about 10 minutes left I will start to see the video have a stutter of a few frames every 5-8 seconds constantly until the video ends. if I stop the video and start it again or change the transcode setting it is fine so it seems to be something after a full transcode has finished and it is playing from a buffer or something but it is rather annoying to deal with and am looking for potential causes and more importantly, solution as to what I could try. I have tried multiple different transcode settings and all have the same issue by the end of the transcoding of the file
