Video stuttering when using DD+/EAC3 Audio on Shield TV Pro (2019)

Could you also please provide us with an example and a log to backup our call for bug fix. I see that this is the only way to get the dev’s attention. :slightly_smiling_face:

they have logs and 4 samples already for this, i probably wouldnt spend time adding more unless they ask at this point.

the more people complaining about it the better tho it might put it higher up on their to do list.

Please fix this its really annoying!!

I can’t watch movies with dd+ 7.1

Any news on that issue? It has not been fixed up to now

they are looking at this, just be patient. i have a version of the plex app that is now working with those samples.

its a google exoplayer issue, not plex, but the plex guys have figured it out - so props to them.

Thank you to the dev !!

@dan-the-man and myself reproduced this issue and pushed to have this looked at. I tested the fix myself and the issue has been resolved. Not too much longer before you see an update.

@TobyX Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

Not fixed audio dd+ 7.1 play fine but video still stutter and freeze and in the audio track settings recognized as eac3 5.1 instead 7.1

Plex last beta installed with nvidia shield 2019 pro and new video player enabled
Audio passthrough the yamaha receiver

I’ll have to wait until the beta is available through the play store in a few hours (I do not prefer side-installing apps), so please wait some hours. I’ll keep you updated.

Ohh last beta just come out 7.26 and i confirm its working :grinning:

If all goes well, I will talk to the devs about releasing to stable.

Can you check with the dev if the audio track eac3 7.1 could be recognized properly in audio settings instead of eac3 7.1 it show eac3 5.1

Thank you

how does it show when you view it in plexweb (get info) ?

It show eac3 5.1 instead of eac3 7.1 in the plex web too

Ok fix work  Nice done. Greetings to the devs! Same here… He shows eac3 7.1 as 5.1. I think the scanner shows only the dd+ 5.1 core.
