I have been using plex for a while and am mostly happy. There is one annoying thing and I don’t know how to fix it. I have a couple of folders with videos rather than films or tv shows. I want the videos to have artwork so I added landscape pictures as posterart. I read somewhere that’s the right way.
If I use my tablet app all is well. The problems appear on my tv app and the online server app. If I select library view the poster art is displayed as a cut-out in portrait mode rather than landscape. If I click the file I will see the art properly, but below the file are suggestions ehich also show the posterart in portrait mode.
Is there any way that posterart for videos is always displayed the same way?
There is a nasty rumor going around that one day - if we live long enough - Other Video Libraries will use Landscape artwork.
Unfortunately, since this isn’t Video Games, PlexAmp or Ad Supported Media - it has a really, really, seriously low priority (it’s right down there with clicking an actor image in a Plex app for Android and having it actually go somewhere):
