Vobsubs/PGS subs overlap issue

Hello guys, so I have my dvd ripped to MKV passthrough with idx/sub.

I’ve been experiencing issue with vobsubs in plex for windows/htpc/browser.

It seems like multiple subtitles will be shown at once resulting subtitle overlap. I will have to reset the subtitle to “Off” everytime I start a movie and change it to the subtitle I wish then It will solve the issue.

This overlap issue seems to only happened to vobsubs and pgs subs. but srt and vss subs work perfectly.

I’ve provided some images below regarding to the issue, I would like to know if anyone know what I can do to avoid this issue.

Never use image-based subtitles (PGS, VOBSUB) as “external” subtitles. Always put them inside the video container – i.e. “remux” the video.
