"Volume adjustments are not supported on the currently selected player" Issue

I’m having the issue described here:


As described in the last post in the link, if I play a movie first the error message goes away.

Playing a movie every time I want to make a volume change on my RasPlex is brutal on the UX.

Worth noting that my iOS device does not experience the issue, but my two Android devices do.

I’ve asked on the Plex Pass only forum (https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1275798) and got directed here.

Any advice for me?

This sounds like either android is not using the current OpenPHT API settings, or iOS is using a different method from Android.

Either way, I’m not sure if it’s OpenPHT’s bug to fix.
