today my Plex for windows desktop player downloaded a new version and even though my volume control at the bottom of the player is at 50%, the volume is loud like a line in feed. moving the bar up or down does nothing, clicking Mute in the player does nothing. opening the volume mixer in windows 10, I see Plex under applications, muting that does nothing, change the volume there does nothing. all my other apps volume controls in the mixer works, if I mute my device “Realtek digital output” that does lower the volume and mute, but it’s the master so it mutes or lowers the volume of everything.
back to the plex player, choosing audio device Auto select or specifically fixes the issue. but selecting my realtek digital output device here creates this issue. if I have other devices trying to use this device only 1 sound is source is allowed.
