Roll it back.
Iāve always thought that just the fact that they restrict the number of votes you can use is beyond dumb!
How about an option under Settings⦠Experience.. to choose Menu.. Top or Leftā¦
Stop it. Youāre going to make too much sense and we canāt have that around on the Plex Forums /s
Not sure what changed but the new version for Roku is making me nauseous. Iām very sensitive to refresh rates/flashing. Is there a setting I can change to revert to the old version? I also have a Chromecast and Plex there does not make me sick.
Youāre better off actually creating a new post and detailing how and what makes you nauseous⦠Posting in this feature request thread that will go nowhere wonāt help you.
Iāve already seen several feature suggestions just like this that will also go nowhere, no need to pile on top of nothingness - unless youāre all doing this just to make yourselves feel better??
Nice over 100 votes! The Plex Community has spoken! Now to the next hurdle, letās get closer to 500!
A Plex Experience app should let you experience the entirety of your Plex content, not split it up over 4 apps and make navigation a hassle. Reminds me of the terrible Sonos release that they, too, needed to roll back.
Good idea, voted!!
Iād like to see the stats of how many times the Plex app has been opened per day, pre and post update on Roku. Can say it was ~10 times between all of the TVs in this house and itās 0-1 now (Jellyfin has replaced Plex in this house until the downgrade is removed/revered). Plex has to have some of this data based on the forced login that youāre required to do to use the app.
Please roll back this turd!
Yes please! This new interface is an absolute joke. Who came up with that mess anyways?
Some pencil pusher who had no idea about programming or customer satisfaction.
I have been using plex for years, could find what I wanted with my eyes closed, now its a challenge. I often watch a 55ā screen from my patio w/ coffee and a cig, NO More. I have to come inside to read it and figure out how to find what I want to watch. Why people have to make radical changes to justify their position like they have improved. Just changing for change sake isnāt an improvement. Was the CrackerBarrell CEO was hired by Plex.
So it turns out if you go through the big thread where Plex defends this mess, if you āfavoriteā your library(ies) the playlists will show up on the left side. Iām hoping when I go upstairs this will also mean they show up on my other Roku.
Also, I recently got a Firestick to access international content via VPN, and for now the interface there is the same, so if you have a Firestick and a free port on your TV you could do that. For now.
I seen bgi and I thought you were bigwheel here to save the day lol. Damn dyslexia. ( bigwheel is a awesome plex employee)
Firestik will have the downgraded interface in the not too distant future I wager.
Here, here! I couldnāt agree more! That said, I believe there is a nervous marketing team somewhere assuring the the bean counters they are still right, and as long as they donāt backpedal, massive bonuses will rain down from the heavens.
They will not change course unless there is a measurable factor to persuade them otherwise. I gave Plex a week to realize this was a shabby move and am in the process of uninstalling Plex from my devices, having found a good-enough replacement.
Loss of market share might be persuasive where web-forum complaints fail.
(I gave up on Internet polls and petitions when Firefly wasnāt resurrected by them).
Roll it back!
I havenāt upgraded since version 1.15. I can play Plex non-stop from Friday evening to Monday morning without a hiccup. If it aināt brokeā¦..
