Was working now it's not and not sure where to start troubleshooting?

I've been running PlexConnect for months now with no issues, streaming 1080p files easily.

Been busy with work over the last 10 days or so so not had much time to watch TV.

Yesterday I went to watch something (a 720p file) and the file just buffers for ages, plays a few seconds and starts buffering again. I thought I might have a dodgy file so I tried one I know I've watched successfully in the past (again another 720p file), still have the same problem. It even buffers for a long time playing SD content although it plays with a bit less buffering.

I've got the latest pull from github as of yesterday around 8pm GMT, I only updated as it wasn't working with the version I had and since the ATV had been updated I pulled the latest version in case there was a fix.

I didn't have any issues before the RedBull channel was added to my 2nd gen ATV.

Not sure where to start looking to troubleshooting where the issue might be, are there log files or something I could look at/post here?

Nothing in my local network has changed for months and I seem to be able to stream video content to my Xbox One with no issues.

Move the PlexConnect folder somewhere, download a completely new PlexConnect from GitHub, copy the certs back only (no settings files), see if you still get the same issue. I am hoping you rebooted you devices, including router/powerlines(?) first.

Rebooted router, unplugged powerline, re-downloaded PlexConnect. Still buffering.

So do you have a atv2 or atv3 or both? What ios version? Atv2 can only output 720p as I assume you are aware. Can you run a temporary Ethernet to your atv not using the power line adapter to rule out issues with it?

It's an AT2, I know it only outputs 720p. I meant that the file on the server is 1080p.

Can't really run a cable. Don't have one long enough. I've not tried it via wifi though.

Try moving the ATV next to your router and monitor/TV to test with.
