Was working now this morning its not

Log from terminal is is below,  Went to play a movie this morning, the trailers show all the movies, selected one hit play, get the revolving wheel for what seems to be a long time then nothing but a blank screen.  Up to this point everything has worked flawlessly.  I have not installed any programs.  Even rebooted the iMac, made sure the plexserver was up and running prior to executing the plexconnect in the terminal window. Obviously I must have  done something but am at a loss to know where to go to attempt to fix.  Note: if I quit ATV3 and connect via a windows PC running plex client that same movie plays just fine.  Could really use some help.

I've updated the original info above with more detail.  Additionally I've been experimenting more and believe this issue has something to do with attempting to play an .iso vs. a .mkv movie.  Plexconnect fails on the iso's but works with the mkv's.  I find this strange because if I access any iso movie using a plexclient it plays just fine.  Plex client as I indicated above is a separate mini pc (Win7 Ultimate).

Regards,

Matt

Plex Media Center has limited support for ISO’s where as many other clients such as iOS, Android don’t because the files need transcoding and Plex Media Centre doesn’t transcode ISO’s. I suspect that this will probably be the reason for your issue.

This is correct, even the desktop clients are likely to drop ISO and Video_TS support at some point.

I would look to batch reencode your files to Apple friendly format as it will likely play on most media players through hardware decoding.

>> batch reencode your files to Apple friendly format...

But this - on the other hand - removes the need for Plex... you can use iTunes then. At least for your Apple stuff.

Not true - the library management, streaming, metadata detection and client-server paradigm all make plex more appealing than having all my pieces in iTunes
