Should you be able to watch a live show even if it is recording? I have series being recorded in case I’m not there. However if we are there, I would like to watch it at normal time. When I try to watch one being recorded I get an error and the show does not tune in.
This functionality isn’t currently supported. You have to wait until the recording is finished before you are able to view it.
Depending on your signal strength, antenna set up and placement, and tv type, one (extremely analog) solution would be to put a splitter in your antenna line and one run line to the HDHomeRun device (or whatever tuner you use with Plex) and one directly to your TV, and then just use the channel tuner natively on your TV while Plex is recording.
