I couldn’t find a similar question… I’m new to plex and am converting from Kodi/MythTV. With myth I had no issues watching a show that was currently being recorded and fast forwarding up to real time manually.
Is there any way to do this with Plex currently?

Yes. If you select a show from the guide that is currently being recorded, you should be asked if you want to start watching from the beginning or in progress.
Sorry to jump on but I had a similar question about this…how do you watch a program currently being recorded that is no loner on the guide? An example of this would be a sports event that has an extended recording time beyond the scheduled time. Once the program falls off the guide (but is still recording) can you access the file? I don’t want to jump to live.
