Watch Together Not Working On Roku

Having very similar issues to those described in this thread.

Other person is on the Plex Desktop app and I am on the Roku app. No matter who starts the watch together we get the same result. I see a screen that shows we’re both invited with a button that says please wait. If I switch to my Desktop app, the web player, or my iPhone, it plays normally.

Odd thing I noticed, if I join the watch together on the Roku and another device, the Roku will start playing too. If I leave the watch together from the other device, the Roku will leave and say connection lost.

The log files don’t seem to indicate any problems.

Very sorry you’re having so much trouble. Our test engineering team and Roku engineers have been testing Watch Together pairing a Roku device with a number of other player apps and we’re unable to reproduce any behavior like you describe. The Watch Together is working on Roku in our testing.

Could you please try doing another Watch Together session using a different movie/show, gather the same Roku client app logs, and then attach those logs here again? Thanks!

Sure. I’ve also gathered the server logs and added a screenshot of what I’m seeing on my Roku client during this.

While my client showed please wait, the video started playing for the other person in the watch together.

Also confirmed that 2 other clients on my network, a Linux Desktop and an Android TV, were able to properly join the same watch together session that the Roku had issues with.

Client still doesn’t work. Tried a different Roku and it didn’t work either. Just gonna not use the Roku Client anymore.
