Watch Together has its quirks. For the past several weeks, it had been more or less functioning.
Yesterday, my friend and I were completely unable to enjoy videos with Watch Together. Every time we tried, one or the other Plex player bugged out.
- False RBAC errors
- Infinite buffering spinner
- Audio but no video
- Video but no audio
- Fast forward crashes the stream
- Stream fails to pause when the host or other participants disconnect
- No option for the host to rejoin an existing Watch Together stream
- Constant playback interruptions
- Frequent app re-launches and Watch Together re-invitations required
Honestly, the most common behavior for Watch Together is hearing from my friend, “It says I don’t have access.” Even though I granted them access to every single one of my Plex libraries. You got bugs!
