Watch Together with a local copy downloaded via Sync

I wasn’t able to find any info on this topic, apologies if this info exists somewhere!

Is it possible to specify to use a local copy of a show or movie downloaded through the Plex app via Sync during a Watch Together session?

One of my viewers has a less-than-reliable connection, so she syncs the media a few hours ahead of the session. But I’ve noticed that Plex shows her as streaming like usual and it seems to disregard the locally synced version.
