Watching on one device, pausing, then resuming on another device doesn't change watched status.

Not sure if this is a bug report or a feature, I also tried to search but couldn’t come up with anything.

If I’m watching something on one device (let’s say the web interface), and I pause the media (show/movie). And then I go to resume on another device, IF the show completes, I would expect the watched status to change, however it stays at the exact moment it was paused at on the other device. The only way to get this to change is if I close the window I first started watching, so that the second window can resume. This to me, seems like a bug, as the users intention should come first (watching on whatever device I want), and should disregard pause status on any other device.

Thoughts? This has happened with the last 4 releases, and I’m on the most current release 1.3.3.x (running on FreeBSD)

But if you stop instead of pause all does what it should?

Yes. If I stop on one device, and resume on another it works. But The pause functionality seems wonky to me. Here’s another example:

Device 1: watch something… Pause
Device 2: resume…pause. Resume again.

When I resume again on Device 2, it starts from where Device 1 paused, not from where I paused on Device 2. Say I watched 10% of a movie on Device one, then paused. When I resume on Device 2, I get to 95%, and then pause again. When I resume again on Device 2, it starts from 10%, not 95%.

So it seems that whatever first starts the watch, locks the progress to that device only, and not a global progress across devices.
